Star Student

The Crisp County School System would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Cordele Lions Club for hosting a special luncheon this week to honor our Crisp County High School STAR Student and STAR Teacher.

Congratulations to senior Aashi Patel, CCHS's STAR Student! Aashi earned this prestigious recognition by achieving the highest SAT score on a single test and ranking in the top 10% of her graduating class.

As part of the STAR program, each student selects an influential teacher to be honored alongside them. Aashi proudly chose WBL Coordinator Susan Fuller, who was named this year’s STAR Teacher.

"It is quite an honor to be recognized by such an outstanding STAR student. Aashi inspires me daily to show up as my best (teacher) self! She is a beautiful reminder of the amazing students that deserve to have a teacher as committed to learning and growing as they are! Teachers are called to inspire students, but they really are the greatest source of inspiration to us. Serving Aashi as a WBL student has been a blessing. She is a perfect example of why I chose this profession and why I continue to wake up each day excited to start my day. Aashi’s SAT score earned her the STAR student honor, but to me, her character made her a star. It has been a motivational blessing to watch her shine," Mrs. Fuller said.
