Dear Parents,
We invite you to an informational meeting on February 27th about an exciting educational trip to Puerto Rico in the summer of 2026! This journey will allow your children (freshmen, sophomores, and juniors) to explore the island's culture, history, and natural beauty, with visits to El Yunque National Forest, Old San Juan, and bioluminescent bays. The trip includes workshops, language immersion, and cultural exchanges designed to inspire and empower your child. Join us at the meeting to learn more about the itinerary and enrollment details. We look forward to seeing you there! To RSVP, go to https://bit.ly/42ItY2E.

A friendly reminder that there will be no school for our students on Monday, February 17th. This will be a teacher workday. Students, we will see you back on Tuesday. Have a safe and wonderful extended weekend!

A friendly reminder that we will not accept Valentine's Day deliveries. Thank you so much for your cooperation!

Eighth-grade students from Crisp County Middle School toured Crisp County High School halls to make their transition from middle school to high school an easier process. We look forward seeing these rising freshmen next school year!

Exciting News from Aashi Patel!
For the past two years, Aashi has been an inspiring leader in the Youth Lead of Georgia program, standing out among 40 incredible students! We’re thrilled to share that Aashi’s community project proposal was selected for funding!
Teaming up with Girl Scout Troop 40351, led by the amazing Mrs. Candace Morey-Davis, Aashi is making waves at the Cordele Barbecue Bash hosted by the Lions Club. Join us in supporting their initiative to raise mental health awareness for youth. It’s a fantastic opportunity to learn, connect, and make a difference!
You’ll not only see Aashi and the Girl Scouts in action, but also some of our phenomenal Beta Club members, all under the guidance of one of CCHS’s most dedicated counselors, Mrs. Grinell.
Let’s rally together for a great cause and show our support! #MentalHealthAwareness #YouthLeadGA #CommunityImpact #AashiPatel #GirlScouts #BetaClub #CCHS

Community Appreciation Post!
A HUGE thank you to Mrs. Angie Wilkerson, Alpha Delta Kappa Sorority and Morning Side Baptist Church for their generous contributions to the Crisp County High School Beta Club Crocheting Project!
This student-led initiative takes place during our Extended Learning Time each day, where students are learning to crochet baby blankets to donate to the hospital's NICU. Their hard work and dedication will bring warmth and comfort to newborns in need!
We are so grateful for the support that makes this project possible!

It is National School Counseling Week, so we want to spotlight our two WONDERFUL school counselors, Ms. Michelle Grinnell and Ms. Dametra Patterson. These two professionals work tirelessly to ensure the success of our students. We are grateful for them and their dedication to our students, faculty and staff.

Last week, we lost one of our beloved teachers, Ms. Claire Austin Whiddon. Our students, faculty, and staff were given the opportunity to reflect on her impact on Crisp County High School. We created this brief video to show how special she was to everyone who knew her. We want to extend the deepest condolences to her family.

CCSS has been in communication with our EMA Director about the safety of our roadways. As stated yesterday, we will be open for school tomorrow, Friday, January 24th. Please drive carefully.

Based on the current conditions, it’s not likely that Tuesday’s historic snowfall will melt away before temperatures drop again tonight, which could lead to unsafe road conditions for our buses and others Thursday morning. With safety in mind and out of an abundance of caution, CCSS will remain closed Thursday, January 23rd with plans to reopen Friday, January 24th.

Due to the anticipated impact from the winter storm in our area, Crisp County Schools will be closed on Tuesday, January 21st and Wednesday, January 22nd. This closure includes Crisp County Early Learning Academy. Please be safe and we hope to see everyone back at school on Thursday, January 23rd. As always, please stay abreast of the most updated information on the Crisp County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page.

Crisp County Schools student food distribution is now open at the main entrance of the old middle school on 24th Ave. All children age 2-18 are eligible for meals.
